About the Role
Reporting to the VP, Metallurgy & Process Engineering, the Principal, Project Metallurgist serves as the senior technical authority and subject matter expert (SME) for metallurgical and process engineering across Torex Gold’s project portfolio. This role provides technical leadership through the full project lifecycle, from early‑stage studies through engineering, commissioning, and operational readiness.
The Principal, Project Metallurgist ensures metallurgical integrity in process design, oversees metallurgical test work and consultant deliverables, and supports optimization initiatives across the Morelos Complex and future development projects. Working closely with corporate and site teams, the role ensures that metallurgical solutions are technically robust, aligned with project objectives, and ready for successful operational implementation.
