Preparator and Collections Associate

The Preparator and Collections Associate works with both collections and exhibitions, ensuring that all artworks are properly handled, installed and stored. As preparator, they are expected to build and care for all museum display inf rastructure and ensure the safe installation of museum exhibitions. As Collections Associate, they work closely with the Curator of Collections to increase overall capacity in collections management. In particular, they will be tasked with assisting in the transition to an online platform in which the museum’s collection will be made more accessible to the public.  

Rate:$24.73-$27.47, 35 hours per week

Essential Tasks Breakdown:
Preparator:

+ Assist the Director in preparing museum inf rastructure for exhibitions (preparing plinths and displays, etc.)

+ Art handling (unpacking and repacking objects, moving objects in storage).
