About the Role:

The successful candidate will be directly involved in early-stage research projects, working with academic institutions, suppliers, customers, and partners to deliver proof of concept designs.

Key Responsibilities:

. Continuously monitor market trends and industry research to define the research strategy and product roadmap.

. Drive the delivery of multiple projects, ensuring the engineering team has the technical direction and support required to deliver industry leading proof of concept designs within target timelines.

. Lead and mentor a group of engineers, supporting career development with goal setting and regular check-ins.

. Identify the skills needed in the team and help with recruitment of suitable engineers.

. Prioritise projects and allocate engineering resource.
