+ Design, initiate, and independently conduct research projects related to influenza viruses, humoral and mucosal immunity, vaccine development, and viral evolution.
+ Perform laboratory experiments under BSL-2 conditions using molecular biology, virology, immunology, cell culture, recombinant DNA, and animal research techniques.
