Job Description
The Moayedi lab in the Pain Research Center at New York University College of Dentistry (New York, NY) is seeking a postdoctoral research scientist to study lingual mechanotransduction and sensation. The lab uses a combination of molecular biology, advanced microscopy, in vivo functional imaging, physiology, and behavior in animal models and humans.
The successful candidate will work independently and resourcefully to accomplish the responsibilities of the position including: rodent orofacial behavioral experiments, histology (whole mount and sliced preparations, immunohistochemistry, RNAscope), in vivo and in vitro imaging of neuronal activity and structure (primary cultures and in vivo intact preparations, 2 photon and widefield fluorescent microscopy), electrophysiology, rodent husbandry, and rodent surgery.
