Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for callers to 9‑1‑1 and other police assistance services.
- Keep callers calm during emergencies to gather information quickly and help ensure public and officer safety.
- Monitor police resources and dispatch systems using computer‑aided dispatch.
- Respond to public requests for police assistance and provide emergency services as a Public Safety Answering Point.
