Plumber/Gas Fitter (Continuing)

This is a continuing position effective July 1, 2026 . The assignment works day shift and follows a 12‑month schedule .

Responsibilities

• Maintains, installs, repairs and tests a variety of plumbing, heating, and disposal systems. Inspects and maintains fire protection systems. May be required to perform backflow testing and repair.
• Lays out, reads and interprets plans, drawings and specifications of district buildings and facilities in accordance with applicable by‑laws and codes.
• Estimates time, materials and equipment needed to complete work assignments.
• Orders supplies and equipment as authorized.
• Inspects facilities on a regular basis for preventative maintenance.
• Repairs and maintains equipment.
• Performs capital works projects as assigned.
• Reports unsafe conditions and faulty equipment to the supervisor.
