Job Description
Responsibilities
- Build, rig, fabricate, and maintain piping systems according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to determine the layout and installation of pipes
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand tools or machines
- Install and repair various types of pipes including water, gas, steam, and air
- Inspect and test piping systems for leaks or defects
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure proper installation and functionality of systems
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while working on-site
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role, with 5+ years experience
- Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, tools, and materials
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and schematics
