Job Description
- Reads blueprints, drawings and specifications to plan the layout and installation of pipes (e.g. overhead, underground)
- Measures, cuts, bevels, threads and bends pipes, tubings and ducts
- Secures pipes to walls and fixtures using brackets and clamps
- Joins / Connects pipes and components using welding and soldering techniques
- Tests piping system for leaks and piping system performance
- Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance
- Coordinates with other team members (e.g. electricians, plumbers etc.)
- Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time
