Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Physicist to join the Product Engineering Team within our Technology Department. Reporting to a Project Manager, the Physicist will provide optical expertise across Andor’s product portfolio, including Spectrographs, Microscopy Systems, Instruments and Cameras.
Responsibilities
- Provide optical technical support to product management, product support, quality engineering, customer returns, production NCP support, and supply chain/suppliers.
- Lead and deliver product enhancement projects, such as image sensor and optical instrument optimisation.
- Conduct robust root cause analysis of recurring issues.
- Develop and implement product quality testing strategy.
Qualifications
- BSc or MSci (or higher) in Physical Science, Physics, Electronic Engineering, or Opto‑Electronic Engineering, with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or
