Job Title: Phlebotomist IIJob Description
As a Phlebotomist II, your primary role is to assist in performing various assigned duties, including troubleshooting, training, and making workflow recommendations. You will be responsible for collecting and storing specimens according to established procedures and ensuring the integrity of the specimens during transport.
Responsibilities
+ Perform blood draws using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
+ Label specimens accurately and centrifuge specimens as required.
+ Record maintenance data and perform decontamination tasks.
+ Update patient information and explain venipuncture or other specimen collection processes clearly and courteously.
+ Fully understand physicians' orders and match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
+ Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
