PhD Fellow – Cosmic Dust Injection into the Upper Earth Atmosphere (CODIA)

Overview

This 3‑year funded PhD position focuses on the investigation of meteoric smoke, ice particles, cosmic dust, meteors, and space debris in the mesosphere/ionosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse new and archival measurements from radar, EISCAT and rocket campaigns.
  • Develop and apply models of dust microphysics such as condensation, agglomeration, and charge interaction.
  • Collaborate with PhD students, master students and national/international partners.
  • Prepare scientific manuscripts and present results at conferences.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in physics, space physics, geosciences, space engineering or related field.
