Job Description
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support two hospital sites in the Los Angeles area. The role requires flexibility to float between two nearby hospitals, approximately 20 miles apart, providing vital pharmacy services in a dynamic inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense IV medications, including IVPBs and TPNs.
- Fill and manage Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets efficiently.
- Answer telephones and deliver medications to nursing units promptly.
- Utilize order entry systems such as Allscripts and Paragon for medication management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and procedural standards in medication preparation and distribution.
