Overview
AHS is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join the pharmacy team at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. The technician will support safe, efficient, and high‑quality patient care across all medication distribution functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and perform sterile and non‑sterile compounding, final medication checks, inventory and procurement activities.
- Check and dispense patient‑specific medication orders prepared by Pharmacy Assistants and other technicians.
- Prepare and check repackaged medications, complete Best Possible Medication Histories (BPMHs) in a clinical setting.
- Mentor Pharmacy Assistants and technicians, train new staff, and precept students while collaborating with pharmacists and interdisciplinary teams.
