PBX Operator
Key Responsibilities
+ Answer and screen incoming internal and external calls
+ Provide callers with information and direct calls to the appropriate departments
+ Monitor emergency and priority phone lines and respond immediately to urgent communications
+ Dispatch security and facilities personnel via radio communication systems
+ Announce emergency codes and important notifications overhead throughout the hospital
+ Monitor security alarms, cameras, and communication systems
+ Coordinate with hospital staff while following established hospital communication protocols
Training
+ Comprehensive PBX training provided
+ Approximately 4–6 weeks of full-time training
+ Training includes phone systems, emergency paging procedures, code announcements, and hospital communication protocols
