Description
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. This role partners closely with Human Resources, Finance, and Accounting to maintain payroll records, resolve employee inquiries, and support payroll reporting and reconciliations.
Responsibilities
+ Process biweekly, semi-monthly, or weekly payroll for multi-state employees.
+ Review employee timecards, payroll adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and reimbursements.
+ Process payroll taxes, garnishments, benefit deductions, and direct deposits.
+ Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare payroll journal entries for month-end close.
+ Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
+ Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve payroll discrepancies.
