Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist with strong expertise in U.S. payroll practices to help build a world‑class payroll product at Runa. In this role you will translate complex payroll regulations and industry practices into clear, actionable examples for product and engineering teams, and collaborate with the Customer team to diagnose payroll issues and deliver effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Runa remains fully compliant with all federal, state, and local U.S. payroll regulations, staying current with legislative and regulatory updates (e.g., FLSA, federal/state tax changes) and defining requirements for product updates.
• Work closely with the Product team to scope requirements for U.S. payroll processes, including payroll calculations, payroll workflows, and federal/state/local tax registrations and payments.
