Job Description

:The Patient Care Technician functions as a clinical support partner, assisting the patient care team by performing various tasks and procedures as instructed by a licensed professional. Additionally, the Patient Care Technician may assume the responsibilities of a health unit coordinator.

The Float Pool is a unit who fills needs throughout multiple facilities and units. Because you are expected to float to multiple facilities, you are paid a 10% differential above your base pay rate. You are trained and assigned to work in critical care, women’s and children’s services, and general acute care units. As a PCT you will be expected to work as a team with nurses to provide care for patients in different settings. You will be involved in activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, monitoring blood sugars, and other general cares for our patients.
