Patient Benefit Rep (PBR) Responsibilities Verify patient insurance coverage Review insurance cards Confirm insurance is active/effective Verify required authorizations are attached to medications/treatments Check outstanding patient balances Review and manage hold bills Pull PLEs from the system Work schedules approximately 2 days in advance Patient & Call Volume Patient volume varies based on provider schedules Typically sees 5–10 patients per day per representative Limited phone work: Minimal outbound calling Few inbound calls Approximately 5–7 phone conversations per day Front Desk Responsibilities, be able to jump in when needed
