Job Description
The Patient Access Representative greets, instructs, directs, and schedules patients and
visitors while serving as a liaison between patients and medical support staff. This role supports
clinic operations by maintaining accurate records, assisting staff, and providing excellent
customer service in alignment with organizational policies.
Primary Responsibilities
⢠Greeting patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner
⢠Answer telephone calls courteously and route them appropriately
⢠Check in patients and verify/update information in the medical record
⢠Maintain/Schedule appointments according to clinic policies
⢠Maintain patient confidentiality
⢠Attend required meetings and participate in committees when requested
⢠Collect payments, post receipts, prepare deposits and complete daily balancing
⢠Process medical record requests using proper release guidelines
