Job Description
Enhance patient care as a Lab Patient Technician in this part-time position. Your role will include specimen collection, patient interactions, and preparation of specimens for transport.
This part-time, float position offers an opportunity to make a difference in patients' lives. You will greet patients, perform phlebotomies, and maintain client relationships diligently. Flexibility in working hours is essential, as you'll work various shifts from Monday to Sunday based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet patients and explain specimen collection processes
• Perform phlebotomies and connect/disconnect holter monitors
• Conduct ECG tracings and special test collections
• Complete data entry for patient demographics
• Prepare specimens for transportation and testing
Requirements:
• Graduate from an approved Laboratory Assistant program preferred
• Prior phlebotomy experience is an asset
• ECG training or experience is beneficial
