Job Description
Enhance workplace safety as a Part-Time Ergonomist & Risk Assessment Officer at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. Leverage your expertise in ergonomics and risk management to optimize employee health and compliance.
In this regular part-time role (0.2 FTE), you will coordinate and support MSD prevention initiatives while educating staff on safety practices. Your experience will guide the development and revision of key policies and procedures to enhance workplace ergonomics. Compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act is a central part of this work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop MSD prevention policies and procedures
• Conduct ergonomic assessment and physical demands analyses
• Collaborate on workspace renovation evaluations
• Educate staff on injury prevention strategies
• Investigate hazards and report findings
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Ergonomics, or related field
