Be a vital part of pedestrian safety with the Township of Springwater as a part-time Crossing Guard. Ensure the safe crossing of students while working in a supportive community environment.
The Township of Springwater is recruiting three part-time Crossing Guards for local schools from September to June. You will be responsible for escorting pedestrians across roadways during school hours, monitoring traffic, and following safety regulations. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent judgment are essential for communicating effectively with children, parents, and school officials.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely direct pedestrians across designated school crossings
• Arrive punctually and monitor designated locations
• Provide assistance and respond to inquiries from pedestrians
• Spread salt/sand mixture to improve traction in winter
• Report safety-related incidents or hazards
