Job Description

Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

Duties include full responsibility and administration for evening teaching labs (labs course delivery and set up; TA supervision; lab assignment marking; lab demonstration set up; exam invigilation and marking, etc.) for PHYC 1190 – Introduction to Physics (Fall 2026).

The course concentrates on mechanics (forces and motion). Ideas are introduced through in-class demonstrations enabling students to relate to physical theory to events in the real world, with hands-on exploration of concepts in labs.


Labs: Mondays and Thursdays: 5:30pm to 8:30pm


Reasonable office hours should be available to students.


Position reports to the Chair of the Department of Physics & Atmospheric Science.

Qualifications/Requirements of Position

  • Candidates must have an advanced degree in Physics (MSc or PhD).
