Summary:
The OTR driver position requires operating heavy commercial vehicles (such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, or tankers) across regional and national routes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
+ Safely navigate long-distance commercial routes to deliver cargo to specified locations on schedule
+ Ensure load securing equipment is maintained properly
+ Perform mandatory pre-trip and post-trip mechanical and safety checks on the tractor/trailer.
+ Maintain electronic logging device (ELD) tracking of working hours, driving distance, fuel stops, and federally mandated rest breaks
+ Maintain constant, clear contact with dispatch regarding delays, mechanical faults, and delivery statuses
+ Understand and comply with company, customer, and health/safety policies, and any other regulations that are required
+ Reports any and all incidents immediately
