We are seeking a detail-oriented **Optical Lab Technician** to join our clients team on a temporary basis in Dartmouth, NS. In this hands-on production role, you will be responsible for supporting the optical manufacturing process by preparing, edging, mounting, and inspecting lenses and frames to ensure quality standards are met.
Please note: this is a contract role for 7 weeks, with possible extension based on business needs.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Receive, sort, and organize lenses and frames.
+ Perform tray-up and tray-out activities throughout the production process.
+ Read and interpret work tickets and prescriptions to accurately assign orders to the appropriate workstation or service.
+ Complete lens tracing and blocking procedures.
+ Operate edging equipment and process specialty lens orders.
+ Mount lenses into frames with precision and care.
