UPMC is hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Assistant to join the Department of Ophthalmology through a unique, state-approved apprenticeship program. This opportunity is part of the only state-approved Ophthalmic Technician apprenticeship program in Pennsylvania and is designed to provide hands-on training, education, and career development for individuals interested in building a career in eye care. The apprenticeship combines on-the-job learning with structured training to develop the clinical and technical skills needed to support ophthalmologists and ophthalmic staff in delivering exceptional patient care.
