Our client, a major Oil and Gas company, is seeking an Operator for a one‑year contract in Edmonton.

Overview

Maintain care and control of the site as a Facility Operator. Follow corporate initiatives, including Safe Operating Practices and Guidelines. Participate in the development of the site's safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of facility process equipment (pumps, vessels, gas chromatograph).
• Communicate directly with the Control Center as a Facility Operator.
• Participate in development and implementation of Emergency Response Exercise drills.
• Prepare, review, and sign work permits for employees and contractors.
• Conduct pre‑job meetings and supervise third‑party work.
• Actively participate and lead Health, Safety & Environment site meetings.
• Mentor and lead junior operators.
• Identify and report mechanical defects on process equipment and mobile equipment.
