Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading container terminal operator based in Oakland, California. This company is one of the primary terminal operators at a major West Coast port and is in the middle of a significant infrastructure modernization program, including recently installed new ship-to-shore crane equipment designed to service the world's largest container vessels.
They are looking to add two Operations Managers to lead the day-to-day supervision of terminal labor and cargo operations.
What You Will Do:
Manage and supervise longshore workers, foremen, supercargoes, and planners across vessel, yard, gate, and rail functions. Make real-time decisions on labor assignments, shift extensions, and equipment needs. Handle discipline, grievances, and labor dispatch in compliance with collective bargaining agreement provisions.
