BUSINESS UNIT: Shafts

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To find, evaluate and optimise extraction of the orebody in the Impala Operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
BSc Honours Degree in Geology is essential
1-3 Years Mining Geology experience (in tubular ore bodies) is essential
MSc Degree in Geology is desirable
GSSA Membership is desirable
SAIMM Membership is desirable
Registration as Professional Scientist with SA Council of Natural Scientific professionals is desirable
COMPETENCIES:
Knowledge of geological mapping/surveys
Knowledge of electronic drillhole data capture
Bushveld geology knowledge
Good communication skills
High level computer literacy.
