Job Description

General Dynamics Mission Systems Canada is seeking a full‑time Operations Support role to provide technical support and troubleshooting for the DND Satellite Communications Operations Centre (SOC). This position is located in downtown Ottawa.

Responsibilities

• Logging and processing of technical events and/or generation of incident reports
• Assist clients with minor troubleshooting and modem configurations
• Process Satellite Access Requests and validate and implement Satellite Access Authorisations
• Answer SOC phone, e‑mail, and chat messages
• Coordinate satellite access and de‑access activities with DND operational units
• Provide on‑the‑job training for new SOC operators
• Perform shift hand‑over briefings
• Collect and process post‑mission information
• Produce weekly/monthly reports
• Remote monitor and control of Satellite Anchor Stations
