Job Description

SUMMARY

This position reports to the Custodial Supervisor/Manager and is responsible for the general cleanliness of the museum. Applicants must be available to work any assigned shifts and be able to work overtime. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Proper operation of custodial equipment including but not limited to:Floor machines, i.e. vacuums, scrubbersMops and mop bucketsFloor, wall, window squeegeesLadders, step stools, scissor lift, fork lift
  • Basic understanding of safety issues and adherence to safety standards related to custodial workSafety equipment for personal safetyBuilding occupant safetyPublic safety
  • Clean and maintain all custodial stations: classrooms, office space, restrooms, entrance ways, work spaces, parking lots and food service areasCollecting trash/recycling/compost and disposing in proper receptaclesDusting, high, intermediate and low areasSweeping, dust mopping, dry mopping, damp mopping, vacuumingShampooing, scrubbing, s...
