Occupational Therapist

To administer occupational therapy services aligned with The Salvation Army’s Mission and Philosophy of Care. Provide resident-centered care focusing on their comfort and health.

To coordinate and ensure appropriate occupational therapy services by supervising, monitoring and educating therapy and nursing staff.

Implement and continuously improve standards of care and service that meet or exceed Ministry of Health and The Salvation Army’s required levels of performance.

Assess and identify individual needs of residents and formulate/develop and implement appropriate individualised music therapeutic programs.

Evaluate and document residents’ occupation therapy needs and progress at regular intervals, monitor training programs and review its effectiveness.

Refer residents to the respective specialists for consultation and appropriate intervention.
