Position Overview

Under the general supervision of and in collaboration with the Manager Health Services, the PERINATAL NURSE is responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the health care needs of all high-risk or at-risk obstetrical patients seen on-site at St. Boniface Hospital in the Fetal Assessment Unit.

NOTE: This position will work in the Fetal Assessment Unit as well as the Obstetrics, Gynecology & Neonatology Relief Team as needed.

Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years recent, related nursing experience in a high-risk perinatal unit.
• Previous experience in a fetal assessment unit is preferred.
• Demonstrated nursing assessment skills required.
• Demonstrated research experience is an asset.

Education

• Current C.R.N.M. registration required.
• Midwifery Program and Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education...
