Job Description
As a Nuclear Outage Specialist, you will be actively involved in setting up, repairing, and troubleshooting equipment as part of a significant project. Your role will primarily be based in the vault, where you will manage and maintain equipment crucial for the operation.
Responsibilities
- Unpack, set up, install, operate, decontaminate, and troubleshoot CANDUclean equipment, including blasting, collection, robotics, and control systems.
- Reconfigure or troubleshoot equipment by running, tearing down, and resetting it.
- Log all work activities and progress at computer workstations.
- Maintain the Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) log.
Essential Skills
- Nuclear Clearance is required.
- Willingness to work in a high dose environment, with an average dosage of 1000 mREM.
