Job Description

Job Summary

Install, repair and replace a variety of floor coverings in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Prepare surfaces, measure and cut materials accurately, and complete installations to meet quality and safety standards.

Main Duties

• Inspect and prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and repairing surfaces prior to installation.
• Measure, lay out, and cut carpets, vinyl, laminate, hardwood, and other flooring materials to fit specifications.
• Apply adhesives, fasteners, and seam treatments; secure and finish floor coverings according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Install baseboards, thresholds, transitions, and trim to complete flooring installations.
• Perform repairs, replacements, and maintenance on existing floor coverings and recommend appropriate remedies.
