Job Summary

Performs surface preparation and application of paints, stains and protective coatings for residential, commercial and industrial projects. Ensures finishes meet specifications while following safety and quality standards.

Main Duties

• Prepare and clean surfaces by sanding, scraping, stripping, caulking and filling to ensure proper adhesion.
• Select, mix and match paints, stains, varnishes and other coatings according to specifications and colour schedules.
• Apply paints and coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment and specialty tools to achieve specified finishes.
• Erect, use and move ladders, scaffolding and other access equipment safely to reach work areas.
• Inspect completed work, perform touch-ups, remove defects and ensure final finishes meet quality requirements.
