Job Description

Job Summary

Provide accurate preparation and dispensing of medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. Support pharmacy operations including inventory management, record keeping, and customer service.

Main Duties

• Receive, review and process prescriptions, verifying accuracy and completeness against patient records.
• Prepare, label and package medications, including counting, measuring and compounding non-sterile preparations as required.
• Operate pharmacy dispensing software and maintain accurate electronic and paper medication and patient records.
• Manage inventory by ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, rotating stock and checking expiry dates.
• Assist pharmacists with customer service tasks, triage prescription-related inquiries and communicate with prescribers and insurers as needed.
