Job Summary Provide and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses according to prescriptions and precise measurements. Advise clients on lens options, frame selection and eyewear care while ensuring accurate fabrication and adjustments. Number of Positions 4 Main Duties Interpret eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions and take precise measurements such as pupillary distance and segment height. Select, fit and adjust frames and lenses to ensure comfort, visual acuity and proper alignment. Use optical instruments (lensometer, PD meter, pupilometer) and inspect finished lenses for quality and accuracy. Order and manage inventory of frames, lenses and optical supplies, and coordinate work with external labs for lens fabrication. Repair, alter and maintain eyewear, including frame adjustments, replacing nose pads and re-tempering frames.
