A Network Operations Engineer maintains, monitors, and optimizes an organization's network infrastructure. They ensure maximum uptime, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and respond to network incidents in real-time.
Roles & Responsibilities- Network Monitoring & Alerting: Utilize advanced network management and monitoring tools to observe network traffic, bandwidth utilization, and overall system health.
- Incident Management: Diagnose, isolate, and resolve network outages, packet loss, or hardware failures. Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents.
- Maintenance & Upgrades: Schedule and execute firmware updates, software patches, and hardware replacements.
- Security Implementation: Enforce network security measures, including managing firewalls, VPNs, and access control lists.
