SCOPE/PURPOSE OF POSITION: Support IT cabling design and solutions to align with Corningās technology standards and meet the connectivity needs of our businesses.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform design, deployment, execution and operational support of IT cabling environments. For these services the candidate will needs:
ā¢Install, terminate, and test network cabling systems, including CAT6, CAT6a, and fiber optic cables.
ā¢Diagnose and resolve network issues related to cabling.
ā¢Maintain and upgrade existing network cabling systems.
ā¢Ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
ā¢Document network layouts, hardware types, and wiring connections for future reference.
ā¢Provide training and support to end-users as needed.
