Job Description

To perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques on components, pipework and structural assemblies to assess compliance with applicable specifications and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL (Post NDT Training)

• Undertake Visual Testing (VT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Eddy Current Testing {ET) techniques to components requiring inspection.
• Ensure that work area is safe to carry out NDT activities.
• Undertake Risk Assessments/Take 2 as required.
• Ensure inspection is undertaken within the parameters of the applicable specification.
• Perform routine equipment / consumable function tests to ensure everything is in good working order. Any issues must be reported directly to supervision.
• Evaluate results of the test in accordance with applicable specification.
