Responsibilities

• Work as a Musculoskeletal Advanced Physiotherapist Practitioner in a community setting delivering an MSK Single Point of Access service.
• Provide expert musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis and appropriate onward management of patients presenting with chronic and acute musculoskeletal problems referred via GP, self-referral or MSK physiotherapists.
• Triage orthopaedic, pain and rheumatology secondary care referrals independently on electronic referral management systems.
• Make appropriate consultant and/or physiotherapy referrals and discharge patients directly from the clinic.
• Use expert clinical reasoning skills to provide specialist support and advice to musculoskeletal staff while maintaining a case load of highly complex patients as an autonomous practitioner.
