Job Description
Excel as a mining site equipment mechanic, responsible for ensuring operational reliability of machinery. This role requires you to perform inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance on a range of equipment under demanding conditions. Reporting to the foreman, you will manage both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical failures
- Oversee inspection and start-up of current equipment
- Manage welding and repair projects
- Use CMMS for maintaining equipment records
Requirements
- DEP in Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics or equivalent
- 3–5 years in equipment maintenance, particularly in mining
- Expertise in hydraulic systems and diesel engines
- Capable of reading technical blueprints
- Firm commitment to health and safety practices
