Job Description
Gain practical experience as a Mining Engineering Co-op with Elk Valley Resources starting in January 2027. Collaborate with experts to improve mining operations over a duration of 8 or 12 months.
Elk Valley Resources, part of the Glencore Group, operates four coal mines in British Columbia. This co-op program is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Mining or Mineral Resource Engineering. You will work on mine planning and design, safety programs, and collaborate across operations ensuring compliance and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in health and safety programs and policies
• Collaborate on daily and monthly mine operations plans
• Work on mine planning, including pit and dump design
• Contribute to drilling, blasting, and surveying activities
