Job Description
Minimum Requirements:
- Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency (MMCC) (Metalliferous Mines) Mandatory .
- Degree or National Diploma in Mining Engineering or a related mining qualification.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in mining operations, with at least 3 years in a Mine Manager role within an open cast mining environment.
- Proven experience in open cast chrome mining.
- Eligible for appointment as the Mine Manager in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) .
- Sound knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA), Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act (MPRDA), and relevant mining regulations.
- Valid South African driver's licence.
- Advantageous
- Previous experience in chrome mining operations.
- Experience managing mining contractors.
- Exposure to mine planning and budgeting.
