Job Description
Position Overview
This position will provide support to the Mining Teams and will be responsible for first line mechanical, electrical (Medium and Low voltage), Instrumentation and Control fault finding and repairs. Planned and unplanned maintenance work will be conducted as required in the conveyor department of the mine site. This position will require day and night shift work as well as overtime as required. As such, it is essential that the person filling this position must be able to function as an effective team member.
Primary Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair and maintain assets, equipment and surrounding infrastructure to minimise adverse impact on production.
- Oversee, assist and support maintenance jobs of support personnel.
- Liaise with relevant plant / mine personnel at different levels, to identify maintenance and service needs.
- Perform hand‑on maintenance support during breakdowns and shutdowns.
