Job Description
Job Summary Troubleshoots, repairs, replaces and installs motors, pumps, fans, compressors, shafts, pulleys, hoists, conveyors and other related rotating equipment on campus
Performs preventive maintenance on above referenced equipment
Utilizes lathe, milling machine and related equipment to repair existing machinery components and fabricate replacement components
Installs power drives in correct position, and aligns power shafts and pulleys
Assists in the organization and scheduling of preventive maintenance routines
Utilizes hoists, rollers, or trolleys to position machinery
Recommends equipment upgrades based on best economical/professional judgement

Reporting to the Trade Supervisor and/or Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the installation, removal, repair and preventive maintenance of rotating equipment on the University campus.
