Job Description
Summary You will serve as a MECHANICAL ENGINEER in the ENGINEERING and PLANNING DEPT, FLUID/MECHANICAL ENGINEERING and PLANNING DIVISION (Code 260.2B) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF Responsibilities You will act as a lead troubleshooter in the identification and resolution of problems encountered during installation, grooming, or testing phases. You will serve as a mechanical engineer who performs engineering and planning duties in connection with the repair, maintenance, and alterations of fluid/mechanical ship systems for submarines and surface ships. You will interface with various activities, production shops, and ship’s force to coordinate and develop plans for the repair of fluid/mechanical ship systems. You will conduct independent engineering studies, investigations, and analysis for the solution of unusual or unprecedented engineering problems.
