Job Description

As a trusted UK Ministry of Defence partner, our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Calibration & Metrology team in Bolton. This is a technically engaging role supporting manufacturing across assembly, integration and test, working closely with production, quality and engineering teams to ensure measurement accuracy and equipment performance at every stage of the build process.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hands on mechanical/dimensional calibration support for COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) and Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE)
  • Support dimensional inspection activities, including updating CMM measurement programmes
  • Provide day to day dimensional calibration and inspection support to manufacturing teams, fixtures and tooling
  • Act as a technical point of contact for dimensional calibration and inspection related queries from manufacturing
